Our 2 acre land provides a diverse playground for learning about and practicing permaculture principles, skills and tools. Day trips are optimized for school groups, tourists and individuals, allowing an intimate insight into the following

  • turn waste into soil (composting)
  • reduce reuse recycle (gray water management)
  • organic food production
  • how coffee, vanilla, cocoa, fig, avocado, banana and other fruit grow
  • hydropower electricity
  • water supply systems
  • rain water harvesting
  • soil erosion prevention
  • locally practiced organic farming methods
  • charcoal making

We provide custom made permaculture experiences. These can be half day, information based site visits or longer tours of up to mutilple days, investigating the topic of organic farming and permaculture. Our main focus is around Mt. Meru, Kilimanjaro, Usambara Mountain range and Tanga Region.
